V.A.D.--domus
I n 1987 the life of the Domus Salutis has began. In the realization of the work the Congregation of the Ancelle Nuns of the Charity opens itself to the contribution of ideas and engagement of some lay that, with the same Congregation, founded the "V.A.D." (Volunteers domicile assistance) whose volunteers, adequately and continuously prepared, together with the cure team, give presence of solidarity at sick home. The V.A.D., Association recognized and enrolled in the Regional Registry of the Voluntary service, has the same principles that have inspired the Domus Salutis, the attempt to create and to disseminate sensibility and new culture around to the problem of the dead and dying people.
   In such vision of humanize of the associate-sanitary service the domicile assistance, the structure with the family are united , and the conditions are created in a way that the two truths could give assistance and answer to the needs of the sick people.
   The Congregation, always careful to the indications and the requests of the Church, while it placed the Domus Salutis like testimony of the inspirations of national the Eucharistic Conference of 1981, now it put into practice the advices that the Sinodo of 1994 gave on the consecrated life and its mission in the world, giving as objective to the Religious Orders the task to take space in the cultural life "in order to offer answers to the many problems and challenges of today's culture" contributing "to a promotion of the culture and to the dialogue between the culture and the faith, in order to illuminate the great problems of the society life and culture".
