Brescia is centre of one almost only initiative in Italy: a modern and comfortable hospice where the patient in the advanced phase of the oncologic disease are cured, the patient defined, unfortunately, "with life limiting illnesses".

The hospice of Brescia, the "Domus Salutis", was founded in 1987 from the intuition of the Ancelle Nuns of the Charity, represents one of the prophetic and charismatic realizations that honour this Congregation founded from Santa Maria Crocefissa di Rosa.
